OK, so I am now looking to apply at the Apple Tree Nursery on the Main Campus of UT. At least when the children misbehave and don't follow the rules I could be a bit more understanding and slightly compassionate and even hopeful that some day they will learn right from wrong and be outstanding citizens.
I do not, however; have compassion for these grown folks who never follow rules and lack the professionalism that our patients and profession deserve. You see, I would much rather be in an environment that utilizes my God given gifts, talents, wisdom, and ability.
It is hard to respect people who don't respect themselves, let alone love them. (Lord, I'm listening and trying to learn something here.)
You see, sometimes I feel that some of the people around me are the perfect example of what happens when there is a lack of God in your life. You embody chaos, dysfunction, hatred (of self and others), and you are simply lost; messing up everything in and around you because you are in the midst of darkness.
I pray that the people around me see my light and come to know the God that I so adore. Sin is not in. Death is not the best. But since we are surrounded by it and an end is inevitable, I want to do all I can to be right with God and have a wonderful relationship with Him.
Please pray that the people around me start to love and respect themselves, find God, and get some light in their lives.
God loves us so much. He took the time to create us each uniquely and wonderfully. He has a vision and plan for each of us. I do not want to waste time on this Earth being useless and fruitless. I have such a desire for people to recognize who they are and whose they are and be amazing at all they do.
Therefore, I have such a hard time tolerating ignorance, incompetence, and complacency. Right now, Apple Tree is looking pretty good. In the meantime, I will be diligent in the work that I do, making every effort to be pleasing to God and be an example to the many lost souls I encounter each and every day.
