Distorted Vision

When you open your eyes, what do you see?
I witness God’s glory; His purpose for me.
What God intended when He had me in mind.
A bursting being of brilliance; my essence is God designed.

I may take some time to develop.
I may take the long road there.
But I strive to fulfill God’s plan for my life,
While there are others who will remain unaware.

Too blind to see their splendor.
Too dazed to observe His view.
Oblivious that God has placed Himself
inside each one of you.

You are not to be pushed over.
You are not to lie in wait.
You are impending possibility.
Accomplish your dreams! It’s not too late.

God fashioned your horizon.
So only He can enhance your sight.
He’ll remove your hazed mental picture,
To enable your life’s destiny to take flight.

I trust in God’s illustration;
For my life, my mission, this time.
I see with God’s insightfulness
I choose to let my light shine.

My dreams are too large to inhibit.
My eyesight, so clear and so true.
I see God’s original intent for the world.
His unmarred blueprint of me and you.

I won’t take no for an answer.
Your opinion will not hinder His plan.
I walk by faith and not by sight.
My vision is in His hand.
